Happy New Year, and Welcome Back to The Vanguard for 2012! This year, I’m planning to return a weekly schedule, starting Thursday January 12th. I’ll also be moving the Fan Art section over from the old site, and plan on adding more to the Character Page and possibly add a whole Vanguard Verse page describing more of the future world of the Vanguard. Also, I’ll be working on bringing Chapter 5 to print, and putting together a trade paperback collection of the first 5, possibly 6 chapters. So readers will have a lot to look forward to this year, this is a great time to be a fan of The Vanguard, looking forward to your visits and your comments!

Figured out that shadows thing, mostly. I’m not 100% happy with it, but am on track to have the new comic page up by this coming Thursday Oct. 27th, for your scheduled viewing pleasure. Hope to see you then.

You’ll get full-color issues, with extra art and character profiles of the first five Vanguard members in hard copy for your offline reading pleasure.
Just dropping a quick note to let my readers know I’m not dead, the comic is NOT in hiatus, I’m just tired and a bit frustrated. Life and work has been kicking my butt lately, and I’ve had little time or energy for comic page making. On top of that I’ve been having trouble with the latest page. Specifically with shading-large shadowed areas keep coming out splotchy and patchy, and I’m sure it’s something about Photoshop I don’t know. Any tips you may know to deal with this, feel free to use my handy contact form to email me about it. Still working on it, but with my schedule it means you most likely won’t see this page until next week.

I’ve updated the Character Page with the five members of the Vanguard I had up at the original site. Sapphira has an updated graphic, reflecting updates in my drawing style and changes in her look since her original picture but I’ve decided to move over the original pics of Cerena and Franklys until I get a chance to update them.
